Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people feel little to no pain. The needles are extremely thin, and sensations are typically mild—such as a slight tingling, warmth, or heaviness. Many people relax during treatment and may even doze.Needles are gently placed and left in for about 20–30 minutes while you relax. Please feel free to bring headphones to listen to your music or meditations of choice during your treatment. Our headphones and soundwave therapy are also available for your use.

Acupuncture is very safe when performed by a licensed practitioner. Sterile, single-use needles are used to ensure safety and hygiene. Your practitioner has had several years of education in Eastern and Western anatomy and physiology and is well-equipped to needle you safely.
Side effects are minimal but may include slight bruising, soreness, or temporary fatigue. -
Eat a light meal beforehand and stay hydrated. Avoid alcohol before a treatment. If you have a hard time relaxing, avoid caffeine as well.
